The number of plants in the Malus germplasm core collection in each of four categories of symptom classes: Resistant, Moderately resistant, Moderately susceptible, and Susceptible were counted in June, July and August of 2018 and 2019, and used to perform principal component analysis (PCA) using the package FactoMineR (Husson et al. 2020) and factoextra (Kassambara and Mundt 2017) in R version 3.6.2 (R Core Team 2020). Weather variables are: average relative humidity (RHave), minimum relative humidity (RHmin), maximum relative humidity (RHmax), average temperature (Tave), minimum temperature (Tmin), and maximum temperature (Tmax)
